The first of my 10 favourite things

I have been given an award:

Sarah Elizabeth from her self titled blog awarded me this. Hers is a blog I stumbled upon by chance, and I am glad I did as it has fast become one of my favourites. She like me is a foreigner living in Italy (she is Scottish) she too is engaged to a lovely Italian, she too is in the midst of planning her wedding,  she too is renovating an old house and she too teaches English. If I hadn't only recently stumbled across her blog I would say she was a stalker copying me or something!

The rules of this award are:
Thanks the award giver (thanks Sarah Elizabeth!)
List 10 things that make you happy,
Pass this award onto 5 others.

I am going to pass this award onto: (please not the winners of my award you don't have to participate and pass it on etc...if you don't want to.)

1. Michelle from Bleeding Espresso as hers is the first blog I ever stumbled upon and got hooked too...and she too is a foreigner living in Calabria with her own bel fidanzato.

2. Cherrye from My Bella Vita who like Michelle is also a foreigner living in Calabria and married to her bel fidanzato.

3. Laura from Ciao Amalfi who is a foreigner living on the Amalfi coast, and also living with her bel fidanzato.

4. Scintilla from Bell'Avventura who is an Australian/Italian (like me) married to an Italian (almost like me) living between Luxembourg and Positano.

May I add that I have met all the above mentioned ladies!

5 Lulu from Calabrisella Mia whom I have not YET met, but hope to meet soon. She is a soon-to-be expat in Italy and her fathers village is just over the valley from Malito. I have a clear view of it from my balcony all the time!

Ok, so now I have to write 10 things that make me happy, but like Sarah Elizabeth I am going to break this up into different posts as I have a lot to make me happy!

The first thing is:

My bel fidanzato

You can read about my move to Italy here which is a 5 part series! I mention how we met and all that...but I have to say the my lovely Giuseppe is the most wonderful person in the world and I am so happy that we met, got on, got together and soon will get married.

Ciao Leanne! Many thanks for the sweet award. I look forward to hearing the other 9 things that make you happy. Number 1 is pretty fantastic! :-)

Check into Ciao Amalfi in the coming weeks to read my list. :-) I hope we can meet up again soon!!

We're like blogging twins! This is what I love about blogging - it gives you the chance to meet people who are doing similar things to you and share your experiences. Here in Perugia none of my friends are getting married or renovating houses so it's nice to have a place where I can talk about these things and get new ideas or advice. I look forward to checking out the blogs you passed your award onto.

Buona domenica xx

Hi Cathy,
Thanks - the photo was taken when we went to Sicily a few weekends ago.

Hi Scintilla,
You are most welcome!

Hi LindyLouMac,
They are a great group of ladies.

Hi Laura,
Can't wait to read your list.

Hi Sarah Elizabeth - or should I say blogging twin!
