So long, farewell...

So on Friday I swap Sicily for Portugal. I am not sure if I will be back here to work (Sicily I mean, not Italy...I am only going to work for 2-3 months in Portugal.) I will miss lots of things about Taormina, Sicily and Italy such as being in the same country as my bel ragazzo

My friends, and having dinner parties on hot summer nights on my colleague Luisa's balcony with views of the sea and Mt Etna.

The food! Arancini, Cannoli and Granita in particular.

I'll miss living in such a beautiful little town.

And I'll miss speaking the language, or enough of it to get by quite well. I don't speak Portuguese, but I'll certainly try.

Allora! Vedremo or nós veremos which the Internet translation tells me is ' we'll see!'

Oh no Roma. Just remember you've been there done that and will do again. Enjoy Portugal l have heard it is fabulous. How great that work sends you. As for bel ragazzo maybe he can visit you. Plus three months will go fast.

Farfallina, Goodbyes are not so easy but I prefer to say 'see you later' rather then good bye.

And Cleopantha - how right you are with Rome...been there done that indeed! Never thought of it that way. Thanks
