I am alive and well, and busy with bel baby but that's not the reason that I haven't written...My lap was on deaths door as a virus took over my computer. But hopefully, now it's fixed and I'll be coming back.
Hi Leanne, Question #1: Curious about some history of Malito. My great grandmother lost 3 of her 4 children in the 1890's and maybe her husband. Do you know if there was a malaria epidemic at that time? Question #2: Someone contacted me today after reading about my family tree on ancestry.com. Seems as though this person also has grandparents from Malito. When I review his family tree and mine we see many similar names. Gagliardi, Bombini, and Amendola are but a few. Are their descendants with these names still in the village?
Hi Susan, The surnames you mention are very common, there are a lot of people still in malito with those surnames. Not sure about the maleria etc...since I am not originally from here, I don't know much about the history to be honest. Best of luck with your search!
